The Business Policy Game was designed as an instructional supplement for strategic management and business policy courses. The simulation integrates the material covered in the students' functional area courses and provides them with an appreciation of how the concepts relate in the total enterprise. Student players are challenged to prepare and implement a strategic business plan, including a statement of mission, objectives, strategies and pollicies. The stimulation is generally used as supplement to cases and lectures in the business policy/strategy course. Prior to playing the game, the students should normally have completed all of the courses in the business core and will thus have had exposure to each of the functional areas business.
