In the recent years, graphic design has been leveraged by businesses as a tool to communicate their values through digital advertisements and product packaging. This indicates that a good product is not solely dependent on its content, but also the story behind it through its wrapping and user experience. Therefore, a business owner has to understand that possessing a graphic design skillset is essential to produce a high quality and visually appealing goods. In this regard, Rawabadak Graphic Design community has already developed the expertise to do a creative design using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. However, as they are going to start a korean merchandise business, several challenges emerge such as limited financial resources, lack of affordable design tools, and insufficient knowledge in entrepreneurship particularly in financial modeling to measure initial budget allocation and project future earnings. Thus, team Art D'sign from IPMI Institute was present to help the community to overcome these challenges through a comprehensive workshop that covers entrepreneurship knowledge and alternative resources accessibility. The curricullum of the workshop includes the development of entrepreneurial mindset, introduction of affordable design software which is Canva, and guidance of formulating a simple financial modeling for allocating budget and earnings projection using Google Sheets. Additionally, the team facilitated discussions to help the community decide on a unique product for the upcoming bazaar, while also assisting in vendor selection, pricing strategies, and stand layout design to enhance product presentation. As a result, the community successfully created and sold hand-painted tote bags, offering both pre-painted and on-the-spot custom designs that attracted strong customer interest during the bazaar. This initiative empowered the community economically, aligned with SDG 8, and fostered creativity, teamwork, and adaptability. The shift from printed to hand-painted tote bags demonstrated their ability to innovate and respond to consumer preferences, increasing product appeal and sales. Overall, the project proved that accessible tools, entrepreneurial training, and strategic support can transform creative communities into sustainable business players. To ensure long-term growth, it is recommended that the Art D'sign team diversify their product offerings, strengthen their online presence, seek partnerships, pursue continuous learning, and implement effective financial management practices.
