The financial services industry in Indonesia is rapidly transforming due to digital technology, changing customer behavior, and strong competition from fintech and digital-first players. Despite the digital lending market reaching around USD 11.5 billion in 2023, multifinance companies still face challenges in scaling secured lending through internal digitalization alone. This study aims to evaluate how digital capabilities and strategic partnerships influence business growth in secured digital lending. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with NVivo 15 Plus, the research analyzes data collected from interviews, company reports, and literature covering the 2021-2024 period. The findings show that internal digital initiatives such as API, e-KYC, AI-based scoring, automation, and data analytics improved operational efficiency but had limited effect on customer growth when not supported by ecosystem collaboration. API-based partnerships with fintech and digital platforms significantly increased secured digital booking from 219,000 in 2021 to 552,000 in 2023, showing over 2.5 times growth. Theoretically, this research contributes to understanding digital transformation in the multifinance sector by linking digital capability and partnership as complementary drivers of growth, while managerially it emphasizes leadership commitment, organizational alignment, and ecosystem readiness as key enablers. The goal is to find the success factor of digital transformation that enables multifinance companies to achieve sustainable customer and business growth through the synergy between internal digital capabilities and external partnerships.
