Several fundamental and macroeconomic factors were selected and applied to multi-regression model to investigate their effect on ADRO's profitability and stock performance. The macroeconomic factors were also tested with moderating effect of COVID-19 on ADRO stock performance. Dupont ratio analysis was applied to compare ADRO financial performance position relative to its competitor, PT indika energy Tbk. and industry average, as represented by seven other top coal mining companies. The selected financial ratios included profitability, leverage, liquidity, and turnover. Purposive sampling technique was used to collect the required quarterly financial data from 2012 to 2021. This study revealed that ADRO's profitability was affected by fundamental factors such as asset turnover and financial leverage. The stock returns were slightly affected by the fundamental factors, associated more with fluctuations of the macroeconomic variables. From the financial performance analysis, ADRO showed relatively remarkable financial performance compared to its competitor and the industry in terms of profitability and liquidity.
