A strategy for developing the bridge construction business : case study of PT nSB Inako Prima

The aim of this research is to develop a business plan for PT. nSB Inako Prima, a company operating in the competitive steel bridge and concrete bridge industries within the industrial bridge infrastructure sector. The research methodology comprises four main sections. Firstly, the business model Canva is utilized to assess PT.nSB Inako Prima's existing business strategy. Next, internal factors are evaluated using internal factor analysis (IFA) and VRIO analysis. Furthermore, external components are examined through external factor analysis (EFA) and porter's five forces model. Data for the study was collected through in-depth interviews conducted with five experts in the field of bridge construction. This research highlights the importance of a business strategy that is aligned with market trends and adaptable to changes. It emphasizes the need to leverage internal strengths, address weaknesses, and capitalize on external opportunities and threats. Specifically, the study identifies market diversification, the adoption of new technologies, and the enhancement of project management capabilities as key factors for success. By implementing the recommended strategies, PT.nSB Inako Prima can enhance its competitiveness, effectively adapt to market changes, and achieve sustainable growth.
