ASEAN Investment Area Series 2 presents the measure taken by the ASEAN countries to further liberalise their investment regimes under the AIA process. It describes the temporary exclusion and sensitive lists of industries, and national treatment measures for foreign investment. These temporary exclusion and sensitive lists are subject to phasing out and review, respectively by a certain time. The manufacturing sector has an end date of 2003, with flexibility of a longer timeframe of 2010 for Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam, for the phasing-out of the temporary exclusion list. The Agriculture, Fishery, Forestry and Mining sectors and services incidental to these sectors, including manufacturing services, will have end date of 2010.
