The topic of women's empowerment has gained significant attention worldwide, including in Indonesia. The empowerment of women is crucial to ensure that they receive equal treatment, rights, and opportunities as it is important to improve the standard of living of women in various aspects of life, including social, economic, political, and personal. In Indonesia, several organizations, including the government, non-governmental organizations, and communities, have been working to develop programs that protect women, enhance their competencies, and increase their standards of living. As part of a community involvement project, we dedicated our time and knowledge to expanding women's rights and opportunities.
This project focused on the importance of women's empowerment in Indonesia, particularly through the lens of a community project aimed at educating stay-at-home mothers about business and management. The study explored how such initiatives can provide women with the skills and knowledge necessary to generate disposable income in their pastime, thereby fostering economic independence and empowerment. It further investigates the impact of these programs on the participants' self confidence and societal roles to create sustainable development in Indonesia. We achieved this by creating, planning, and executing interactive workshops based on the wants and needs of the community, and provide them with the opportunity to practice these skills. Through the use of constant communication and discussions, we shared our knowledge and tips on marketing, financial management, and cyber security when conducting business practices.
