This book is targeted at the developer who is new to visual Interdev 6 and wants to learn it from the ground up. I make two assumptions

here:

The first is that you are at least a beginning-level developer and understand some of the basic concepts of software development, such as variables and debugging. The second assumption is that, althoughyou aren't an expert with Web-based development, you are at least comfortable with Basic Web terms such as hyperlink, HTML, and Web Server. Aside from that, I'm going on the assumption that you have a little-to-no Visual InterDev experience.
