The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) developed by Dr. Thomas L. Saaty, has been used by many organizations, business and government, worlwide. The diversity of its applications indicated the generality of the theory, with more than 1500 references in the literature. International symposiums on the AHP (ISAHP) have been organized regularly since 1988, with the 1st ISAHP was held in Tianjin, China.



INSAHP 2000 proceedings are distributed to the libraries of graduate programs in management and development studies in Indonesia, to facilitate the spread of AHP further in the country and to promote more Indonesian participants in future ISAHPs.



The objective INSAHP 2000 are to:

1. Establish networks among Indonesian academics and practitioners who have been advancing, teaching and using AHP in Indonesia

2. Deepen the participant's understanding of the AHP and its application potentials

3. Share and exchange knowledge and exercises among Indonesian academics and practitioners

4. Promote more Indonesian involvement in the AHP international community
