Elizabeth Coffey and coaches from The Change Partnership address the primary concerns of today's CEOs:
Developing bifocal vision
Getting the organizational structure right
Creating time to maximize CEO impact
Energizing the organization through leadership
Delivering strategy through the top team
Managing the board
Communicating with all of the stakeholders all of the time
Meeting the diversity challenge
Surviving in the global jungle
Balancing your work/life demands
Each chapter sets its subject in context, explains a specific challenge, defines a set of desired results and then shows how the client was guided to achieving those results. Finally,it suggests the questions you should ask, and answer, before tackling a similar challenge.
To maintain the confidentiality crucial in coaching, eight chapters are fictionalized scenarios based on real life cases. Two,however, illuminate innovative leadership through actual examples: a multinationals top team development initiative, and the UK Senior Civil Services current ethnic minorities programme.
Offering practical frameworks and compelling insights into the realities of life at the top, it is required reading for every incumbent CEO and ambitious senior executive.
