As one of the leading national banks, Bank Niaga has established and proved itself in playing an important role. Challenging banking environment in Indonesia drives Bank Niaga to consider using Organization Development (OD) as one of the appropriate concepts. The goal of OD in Bank Niaga is to maximize the use of its human resources as one of competitive factors in banking industry.
Bank Niaga has established OD Department within the Human Resources Development Division (HRDD). At current development stage of this department, further study is required to facilitate the implementation of OD framework and practices.
The purpose of this Group Field Project (GFP) is to assist the management of Bank Niaga under the HRDD in its effort to improve and develop the OD.
OD as a pilot project in HRDD of Bank Niaga is the focus of this GFP. The result of the GFP will address the HRDD objectives to create better climate, to develop teamwork within this division, to increase services and to be more proactive.
The method used in this GFP will cover general OD concept adopted, and implementation of surveys as the pilot project. The recommendations cover the actions that should be taken by HRDD management resulting from the pilot project and further implementation of OD in Bank Niaga after evaluating the pilot project and implementation.
