As we have understood, the global price of coal experienced some relatively sharp fluctuations during 2008. The demand from the global industrial sector for coal supply also experienced a significant increase since in 2008. However, the company could not afford to relax and be comfortable with these conditions.

Because of demand slightly increase it, PT BA also made decision to increase their productivity from 10.000.000 to 50.000.000 ton per 4 year. PT BA also aware that these big jumps would not have been successful without the support f competent human resources.

Unfortunetely the HR in PT BA has a problem with employee motivation especially for aging employee since in PT BA almost 50% employees are more than 45 years old. If PT BA falls into it PT BA will get huge opportunity lost, approximately $2.200.000.000 with current price of coal is $80. Therefore, PT BA focusing improving business process by formulating better strategie through program at HR for leverage motivation employee.

Further discussions and analysis by using relation diagram and solution selection matrix, it may give to the company in the future to give recommendation in order to increase productivity level from 2.500.000 ton per year to 12.500.000 ton per year.
