The 21 cases presented in this volume are categorized into four braod areas of discipline, namely business management (nine cases), hospitality management )five cases), and education and social sciences (seven cases). The business management cases include issues in airline and poultry industries, entrepreneurship and the implementation of projects. The hospitality management cases deal with issues in tourim, hotel and food industries and student accomodation. The education and social-science cases include issues in human resource development, education programs, English language, psychology/counselling, communication, and the aspects of socio-cultures.

We hope these cases, together with the teaching guidelines, will motivate lecturers to use them as teaching and learning resources in their classes. This new approach will undeniably make teaching and learning more interesting, meaningful and lively to our students. Moreover, the use of cases in teaching and learning will help us inculcate analytical thinking among our students and also expose them to realistic situations. This will certainly help to prepare the students for the working world in the future. Through this endeavor, we hope to inspire others to appreciate cases, and consequently carry out case research and write cases and ultimately use them in teaching and learning.
