PT. Bank BPD Aceh is the Regional Bank of Province Aceh. It is conveniently located in the centre of twon Banda Aceh, and was be the choice for majority Acehnese people. When I run my internship program in Bank BPD Banda Aceh, I was working at Jasa Nasabah Department, specifically at Kliring.

When earthquake and tsunami happen in Aceh Six years ago (2004), PT. Bank BPD Aceh lost all data. And BPD Aceh spent 1 year to recover the data. Currently, the frequency of eartquake in Aceh is increasing, as well as parts of Indonesia. Therefore, BPD Aceh must be able to perform effective risk management, especially to protect the date.

the main objective of my Capita Selecta is to asses the readiness of BPD Aceh if someday the same thing happens again. Remember the frequency of earthquake in Aceh was increasing year by year.

The Risk Management itself is the identification, measurement, and treatment of exposures to potential accidential losses.

So, one of my recommendations is PT. Bank BPD Aceh must provide the basis for adapting the strategic actions and directions in response to these development and changes. The strategic control is Special alert control. This is the management actions undertaken thoroughly, and often very rapidly, reconsiders a firm strategy because of a sudden, unexpected event.
