This research is started by understanding the equipment losses that existed
in this area and continuing by calculate the achievement of overall equipment
effectiveness (OEE) in one cycle production in eachmachine. In the other part of
this research, we also tried to offer an alternative for automation process by
implementing the RFID technology to improve OEE and replace the manual
process, so that it can further improve the performance and results from this
business unit. All data we have is based on observation, interview with operator,
supervisor and manager in upholstery division. And based on our Thesis (Group
Field Project), GMF AeroAsia need to apply TPM (Total Preventive
Maintenance) System for Upholstery Division and addnew machine to enhance
the overall process effectivity and to upgrade the available capacity.
