After seven years (2008-2015) of knowledge management implementation and encouragement to create innovation, PLN employees has born 2592 innovation ideas and the number is showing increasing trend every year. Unfortunately from so many ideas only a few which already successfully nationally implemented and some of the innovation ideas are recurred indicating the knowledge that has been generated in one part of company has not been captured and shared well to the others. This condition definitely doesn’t give any financial benefit for PLN.
In order to find out what is the cause of the problem we have done some analysis using knowledge management framework point of view since innovation is believed as one of strategic business goal of knowledge management. We divided our analysis to the knowledge management framework into three parts: KM Enabler aspect, KM Process aspect and Innovation aspect. From analysis of these aspects we hope we will find out where is the clogging happened that might hamper the growth of innovative climate in the company and we hope we could give recommendation to fix the situation.
