PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (“PGN”) has Procise as its
corporate culture which are consist of 5 values, Professionalism, Continues
Improvement, Integrity, Safety and Excellent Service. In delivering excellent
service to customer, PGN in collaboration with PT. PGAS Solution (PGAS
Solution) as subsidiary company of PGN to execute operation andmaintenance of
PGN’s facilities for delivering natural gas to its customer. Providing operation and
maintenance to PGN is an opportunity for PGAS Solution to expand its business in
order to get revenue from PGN’s customer, which means PGAS Solution will get
revenue from outside of PGN group.
Natural gas supplied by PGN in industrial sector are used as fuel for PGN’s
customer equipment. Boiler is one of PGN’s customer equipment served by natural
gas from PGN. As a pressure vessel, the operation of boiler wasgoverned by law
in order to be safely operated. Maintenance and repair of boiler is a must to comply
the law, this condition can be grabbed by PGAS Solution to get other revenue source
despite of revenue from PGN group.
According to the above considerations we conduct Group Field Project (GFP)
to study more and analyze about the possibilities of creating anew business unit as
part of PGAS Solution to do maintenance and / or boiler repair in order to get other
source of revenue outside PGN group and also giving excellent service to PGN’s
customer so the customer more appreciate and loyal to PGN.
The result shows that it is possible for PGAS Solution establish a new
business unit in order to grab revenue from PGN’s customer by providing boiler
repair services. In the first step, the goal is getting 20 % of PGN’s Regional
Distribution 1 customer and it can be replicated in PGN Regional Distribution 2 and
3 and can be followed to the industry outside PGN
