The purpose of this study is to identify the behavior pain points in
Rabobank International Indonesia (RII) for each business and support division
and create a comprehensive strategic plan to improve those behavior pain points
and activate sustainability culture within RII. As a result of the economic
slowdown and massive restructuring, the bank experienced external and internal
obstacles. The most extensive internal challenges are lack of employee
engagement and synergy between functions in which the overall business
performance and RII competitive advantage are negatively impacted. The
behavior pain points were identified through Rabobank Culture Change
Workshops. In order to implement culture change, the writers refer to the theories
by Edgar Schein which divided organizational culture into three different layers,
occasionally represented as the onion model. AIDA model (Attention, Interest,
Desire, Action) is applied as guidance for creating the Sustainable Culture
Activation Program (SCAP), which is the end result of this study. The SCAP
initiatives are divided into three consecutive stages: ignite awareness, adopt
sustainable habits, and commit & reward.
