This Group Field Project (GFP) objective is to propose a business plan for POME biogas plant in the Riau Sumatera Island. The plant aims to convert Palm Oil Mills organic waste into valuable products of Gas, and high quality fertilizer. The technology innovation offers not only transportable biogas to community through government electricity grid but also to existing Palm Oil mill.
The business idea established through the awareness of potential reosurces of Palm Plantation & Palm Oil Mills as well as market analysis during the first and second phases of the study program. It is consolidated by the market researching and Subject Matter Expert consultants.
From the financial calculation, this project is feasible because the Pay Back Period is 2 years, and 4 months, while the Net Present value is IDR 581,652,675,990 and the Internal Rate of Return is 23%.
