The study attempts to find the right strategy for Air Indonesia PT. (PT. AI) with regard to its present condition, in early 1995.

The primary data used in this study were gathered through conducting interviews with customers, competitors, Indonesian Department of Industry and the PT. AI management staffs. The secondary data were collected from the firm's documentation, periodicals, brochures, newspaper and other publications relevant to this study. The study uses an approach, which takes the structure of the industry as given, and then matches the firm strengths and weaknesses to it. Chapter 1. discusses the problem and its background. Chapter 2. Discusses the industry competitive conditions. Chapter 3. Discusses the firm's own internal situation and competitive position. Chapter 4. Discusses the firm's situation analysis which will lead to define-strategy. Chapter 5. Discusses the implementation plan.
