In The Power of Minds at Work, Albrecht capitalizes on a wealth of stories, examples, and experiences working with leaders all over the world to define just what organizational intelligence is, and how it can be developed. Taking a close, critical look at organizations that have or have not achieved OI, including Disney, Apple, Ford, Hewlett-Packard, Kodak, Wal Mart, AOL, NASA, and the FBI, he defines the seven critical components of organizational intelligence, from strategic vision to knowledge deployment and appetite for change, and uses them to analyze situations and identify the kinds of conditions necessary to nurture, defend, and develop OI.

In The Power of Minds at Work, Albrecht offers a comprehensive framework for evaluating and improving organizational intelligence. he invites leaders at all levels to set high standards for their enterprises, to act courageously to fight collective stupidity every day, and to develop cultures that mobilize collective brain power and focus that brain power on achieving the mission.
