Samsung came to Indonesia in 1991 first generation of Samsung mobile in Indonesia doesn't have any significant differences with other brand, in a row with they development Samsung try make a different with other with result Samsung is the first mobile phone producer who create mobile phone for women, in that type Samsung create mobile phone that can read about women circulation and women body, then Samsung also make the fIrst slim mobile phone in the world with name ultra slim, and Samsung also produce the first mobile phone that can be use for two different sim card (CDMA and GSM) and both sim card active in the same time, last time Samsung also produce the first 3.5 G mobile phone in Indonesia. Until now Samsung already produce various type of mobile phone with difference capability:

-Smart phone its mobile phone made for business people who not always stay in the office for work, because this type are very complete with windows as the basic program and also have 3.5G /HDPA.

-Music phones its mobile phone for people that love entertainment especially in music.

-Ultra slim mobile phone its mobile phone for people who love some thing simple but with high technology.

-Card size phone its mobile phone with size as big as credit card -CDMA phone its mobile phone for people who love using CDMA as their phone provider.

-Dual on phone its mobile phone that can be use for two kind of sim card witch is CDMA and GSM and both sim card active in the same time.

Samsung always try to be a pioneer of innovation in mobile phone, but in reality market share Samsung mobile phone only occupied number four in Indonesia after Nokia, Sony Ericsson, and LG.

With this tight competitions every mobile phone producers are trying to

increase they sales by doing promotion as great as possible. One of the

promotions is by arranging an event. Even so with Samsung, to increase their sales Samsung organize an event with name Samsung festival. Samsung festival take place in one of the biggest place for mobile phone market in Jakarta which is ITC Roxy Mas, to explain more about this event I will try to describe with 5W and IH.

In this event Samsung giving an opportunity to people who bought Samsung mobile phone any type with rebound the guaranty card with lucky draw. Where?

This event take place in one of the biggest place for mobile phone market in Jakarta witch is ITC Roxy Mas (Samsung information center, 3rd floor)

When?

Date and time: -- -date: 21 May until 31 June

- time : 10.00 am until 08.00

Why?

This event has a purpose to increase the sales of Samsung mobil phones especially in ITC Roxy Mas and also doing research about how successfully this event.

Who?

This event is organize by Samsung Electronic Indonesia (mobile phone) to every customers that buy mobile phone in ITC Roxy Mas

How?

This event was doing well without any significant problem

The problem that I wanted to rise is "how successful the event Samsung festival? (in related to competition)
