Chevron is the largest oil producer in Indonesia, operating in 3 main exploration areas : Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Java. Currently, Chevron is well-known as world's largest producer of geothermal energy.

I had done my internship program at Chevron for 3 months in IT Strategy Planning Division. I worked with my supervisors to review their reporting of Balanced Scorecard and asked to give new recommendation/solution toward the scorecard report.

While I worked there, I noticed that there are several problems regarding the report of Balanced Scorecard where lack of communication plan happened, data inaccuracy, the complicated reporting model, and no simple report for top management level.

As response to several problems, I recommend some initiatives such as simplification of existing report and detail communication plan to assist IT Strategy Planning Division improving the new reporting model.

After discussing and meeting on a day-to-day basis with my both supervisors, this new balanced report had been approved by my supervisors and now the report is used for entire IT Department since it gauges the effective and efficient performance in IT Department. All in all, goals are achieved and performance in IT department is going better.
