PT Gagas Energi Indonesia (Gagas) is one of PGN subsidiary that established with aims to strengthen the core business and provide value added to PGN's business by providing product differentiation for costumer. Gagas main purpose are consist of planning, procurement, establishment and development of gas (CNG). CNG itself are produced through Natural Gas Station (SPBG) that Gagas niw facing problems to deal with it. Slowing business development or even negative growth requires the management of Gagas to prepare alternative corporate strategy to be able to compete with current transportation fuel that used oil. The current utilization of SPBG is still below 16% of the installed capacity. The purpose of the study is to identify and formulating alternative corporate strategy with regard to internal and external environtmental factors and turning natural gas station into profitable business. The method used in the study are using IFE Matrix, EFE Matrix, IE Matrix, SWOT Matrix, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSOM). Based on the result of analysis, the proposed solution for the general strategy theme for Gagas is to hold and maintain their current position by doing several corporate action such as proposed incentives to government in order to get equal treatment with other alternative fuel, collaborate with gasoline station (SPBU) to develop new SPBG, increasing their marketing campaign, doing partnership with others CNG player in educating customer regarding the safety aspect of using CNG as vehicles fuel, proposed competitive gas price and grab new target customer possibility.
