An electronic cigarette or e-cigarette is a handheld electronic device that
simulates the feeling of smoking. It works by heating a liquid to generate an aerosol,
commonly called a "vapor", that the user inhales. Using e-cigarettes is commonly
referred to as vaping. The liquid in the e-cigarette, called e-liquid, or e-juice, is
usually made of nicotine, propylene glycol, glycerine, and flavorings.
E-cigarette market is currently growing and gaining popularity worldwide,
besides of its impact on health. The growing awareness of the effects of smoking
along with technological developments aiding in the development of safer
alternatives to smoking has been driving the global e-cigarette market to new
heights.
The purpose of this study is to explore behavior of e-cigarette users in
Jabodetabek areas. The next step would be determining a conclusion based on the
result of survey’s analysis and give recommendations.
The analysis on surveys data in this study conclude. Writer found there are
things as follows, the majority of vape users: considered to try vape because looking
for cigarette alternative, stated that after trying vape the results using vape are in
accordance with their expectations, know vape products from friend, feel vaping is
more economical than smoking, do not use tobacco / cigarette products during their
vaping lifestyle, and said they knew the new vape product from social media
(instagram, youtube).
